October was a month of powerful connection and collaboration for Empowerment for Hope Society (EFHS) and Founder & Executive Director, Wyndolyn Brown. From community events to workshops and advocacy efforts, EFHS continued to stand strong in its mission — empowering survivors, educating communities, and transforming pain into purpose.
🏠 Domestic Violence Awareness Workshop with THANS
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, EFHS partnered with the Transition House Association of Nova Scotia (THANS) to deliver a Domestic Violence Awareness & Empowerment Workshop.
This collaboration brought together service providers, advocates, and survivors to explore:
The impact of trauma on survivors and their families
Barriers to accessing safe, inclusive support
Strategies for empowerment, healing, and resilience
The workshop highlighted the importance of survivor-led approaches and created a safe, supportive space for shared learning and healing. It was a powerful reminder that when we unite our voices, we create pathways to hope and safety.
